Ocean Conservation Seminars

Join Coral Restoration Foundation for an afternoon of engaging guest speakers. The 30-minute presentations will highlight conservation initiatives from partner organizations throughout Florida. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with Coral Restoration Foundation team members and discover ways to get involved through volunteering and upcoming events. This event is free to individuals and will be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm

Ashley Hill, Education Program Manager of Coral Restoration Foundation, presenting “Restoring Reefs and Empowering Change”
 
Tommy Cutt, Chief Conservation Officer of Loggerhead Marinelife Center, discussing “Living to Change: Improving the Health of the Global Ocean Through Local Action”
 
Colin Foord, Co-Founder of Coral Morphologic, talking regarding the topic of “Coral: From Microscope to Telescope, the Most Cosmic Form of Life on Earth”
 
Margaret Miller, NOAA-NMFS, Southeast Fisheries Science Center, presenting “Staghorn and Elkhorn Coral Restoration in the Upper Keys: Is it Doing Any Good?”
 

Tracy Nolan, Education Director of Debris Free Oceans, educating individuals on “Marine Debris: Impacts and Solutions”

Mike Terrell, Director of Husbandry at The Florida Aquarium, speaking about “The Florida Aquarium and the National Aquarium of Cuba Collaboration”
