Dive Operations Coordinator / Assistant Dive Safety Officer
Megan grew up in Denver, Colorado where she was constantly hiking and skiing the Rocky Mountains. She graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with degrees in evolutionary biology and ecology and Ancient Greek thought and literature, and has since used her degrees to bring awareness to the fragile state our oceans are in. Her love for sharks and determination to save them has led her across the globe studying shark biology, working with different ecotourism companies promoting conservation and responsible tourism, and teaching at non-profits focused on marine conservation.
Megan researched great white sharks and crewed on cage diving boats in South Africa, monitored whale sharks and led the internship program at the Whale Shark and Ocean Research Center on Utila, Honduras, and most recently, worked as the Outreach Coordinator and Field Instructor at MarineLab in Key, Largo, FL. She became a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Instructor in 2018 and is excited to bring her passion for the oceans and scuba diving expertise to her new role as the Dive Training Associate.
