Join Florida Keys Dive Center and Coral Restoration Foundation™ for a dive in the world’s largest Coral Tree Nursery™, and then head out to the reef for outplanting or monitoring (weather pending). You can also earn the PADI Project AWARE Coral Conservation certification with Florida Keys Dive Center on this special trip! (Certification not required for participation in the program.) (Restoration activities are weather dependent.)
The PADI Project AWARE Coral Conservation certification is a knowledge based certification informing participants (divers and non-divers alike) about the difficulties facing the world’s coral reefs, how coral reefs function, why they are important and what individuals can do to help.
Hands-on training starts at 8:00AM at the Coral Restoration Foundation™ Exploration Center at 5 Seagate Boulevard Key Largo, followed by the PADI Project AWARE Coral Conservation certification by a Florida Keys Dive Center instructor. In the afternoon, we will put our newly found knowledge to practice!
