Socio Economic Associate
Madeline was born in Tucson, Arizona. She moved at six years old and found inspiration in Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, when she discovered an abandoned crab pot inhabited by seahorses. She graduated from Coastal Carolina University, South Carolina, with a Bachelor’s in Marine Science and has her Divemaster Certification. Madeline’s passion for coral reefs and love of reef aquariums led her to become a Coral Restoration Foundation Intern. Through this holistic experience, she worked with non-profit development, external communications, conservation education, reef science, and coral restoration. She then found a niche in the socioeconomics surrounding coral reefs while a CRF Fellow. Madeline now works as CRF’s Socioeconomic Associate connecting the dots between the reef and the local community.
