Temporary Education Specialist
Originally from Cleveland, OH, Emilee’s passion for marine life stemmed from family trips to the Caribbean and many snorkeling trips. Living in Ohio, her conservation career began in high school, where she was introduced to marine biology and lake conservation classes. This passion grew, leading her to move to Myrtle Beach, SC, to attend Coastal Carolina University and pursue a B.S. in Sustainability and Coastal Resilience, with a focus on Marine Sciences. During her time in school, she learned to scuba dive, which opened even more opportunities for her in the dive industry. Upon graduating, she moved to the Florida Keys to join the Coral Restoration Foundation internship. Throughout the internship program, she learned valuable skills such as restoration and education. After completing her internship, she went on to become the Temporary Education Specialist, where she helped advance our EPA program and public snorkel trips. In this role, she is able to combine her love for conservation and advocacy while educating the next generation.
