Education Program Associate
Born and raised in South Florida, Casey developed a passion for marine science from a young age, inspired by the coastal ecosystems that surrounded her. This passion led Casey to pursue her bachelor’s degree in environmental science, where she engaged in diverse research projects focusing on water quality and environmental management.
Wanting to apply her knowledge to marine ecosystems, Casey began diving during her academic years. She continued her dive training in the Philippines, immersing herself in a long-term coral reef monitoring project off the Negros Oriental coastline. This experience not only sharpened her diving skills but also solidified her commitment to protecting marine ecosystems.
Her journey then brought her to the Florida Keys, where she began her career as an educator, sharing her knowledge and nurturing a new generation of marine conservationists. Casey continues to educate others on the significance of marine conservation and sustainable diving practices. Whether conducting research, teaching, or guiding divers around local reefs, she aims to continue preserving our oceans for future generations. She is ecstatic for the opportunity to apply her knowledge, experience, and love for education into CRF’s education & outreach programs.
