Bailey Thomasson
USVI Reef Restoration Coordinator
Bailey is from North Carolina but has always had a special connection to the ocean. She grew up diving in the Florida Keys with her family which sparked her love for coral reefs and marine conservation. She specialized in Marine Science at UNC-Chapel Hill working with stony corals in a research lab.
After graduating, she wanted to have a more direct, tangible impact on the restoration of the same reefs that she fell in love with as a kid, leading her to become an intern with Coral Restoration Foundation™. Now as a permanent part of the team, she is excited to organize restoration efforts in the Lower Keys!
